Dr. Cua is from the Philippines and finished medical school there. He than came to the United States and completed his Internal Medicine training at one of the John Hopkins community programs, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. From there he went on to the main Albert Einstein cardiology program at Montefiore Medical Center. Within that program he spent a year doing basic electrophysiology research with the Pharmacology department of Columbia University. He then continued on with the Cardiac Electrophysiology program at Montefiore.
